Perhaps. But I am skeptical of that argument on its face. I remember
Microsoft arguing that its complicated OS "created jobs" because
businesses needed to hire more consultants to manage it. You can have
a situation with "more jobs" but also a lot of unnecessary waste.
(I.e., what more productive uses of that money could businesses have
come up with?)
