Note also that Woody-the-toy has the *same* voice as the actor who 
performed with Woody-the-puppet on that 1950s TV show.  What does *this* 
tell us about the bond between the toy world and the human world?

What if Woody ever met the actor who provided his voice?  Assuming the 
actor is still alive, that is.

And now I'm getting flashbacks to Orson Welles' remark that many of the 
people on those "laugh tracks" that were so popular in 1970s television 
(do people still use them?) had died long ago ...
