Well, arguably seeing DV ride away in star wars 'demanded' a sequel too, but that doesnt mean Lucas should have revamped the plot and given us Empire. And I did catch the tossing down the whole thing in TS3, made me chuckle. Now, if DV would have done a raspberry, maybe ROTJ might have been more fun.... -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Peter T. Well, as a film, Toy Story 3 might very well be better than Return of the Jedi. But The Empire Strikes Back ended in a way that *demanded* a third movie, whereas Toy Story 2 did not. Incidentally, each of the Toy Story movies contains a detail that ties to the relevant Star Wars movie. In TS1, Buzz Lightyear says he has information on a battle station that the evil Emperor Zurg is building on the outskirts of the galaxy. In TS2, Emperor Zurg says he is Buzz Lightyear's father. And in TS3, the lead villain is picked up by one of his closest accomplices and tossed down a hole of some sort. -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
