There is a difference in perspective here...you see this as a punishment of the rich. I do not see it as punishment. If I was rich, paying more into the society I benefit from would only make sense.
(not just the bankers-the big business guys rightly earn scorn as well...look at BP-even with their losses in the spill? They have a banner year and did extremely well)
