> Seriously, have you thought this through at all Paul? *sigh* Yes, I have. If someone was there trying to *murder* me or my family, I don't expect I'd time to call the police, unless they were considerate enough to put the machete down long enough for me to dial. If someone broke into my house, my first order of business would be to get myself and my family *away* from this person, *then* call the police to apprehend the intruder. It would not be to kill the intruder, nor to call someone else to come kill the intruder for me. If, as I suspect, you want to whittle this down to some kind of fantasy where it's a "him or me" battle stand-off to the death, I believe the right thing to do would be to lay down my life. I'm not supposed to love my life at all, let alone love it enough to kill someone else to preserve it. To die is gain, remember? Whether or not I would be strong enough to let my conviction overcome fear or instinct, I don't know. I can only hope that I would. -- -pcg [email protected] -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
