I thought I answered that in the sentence immediately following the one you included. I'm not ruling out the possibility that somebody could think that when calling the police, but I don't think very many do and I don't think that is a reasonable or realistic mindset when calling the police. I'd like to think I have a bit of expertise in this area having been a prosecutor for 4 years, prosecuting nothing but domestic violence related crimes. I'm relatively familiar with the training police get and what their response should be in home invasion situations. IOW I'm not just pulling this stuff out of my ass.
