I can't be held responsible for whether anyone perceives my comments as sanctimonious, or holier-than-thou, or whatever. I've been very careful to direct my contempt (and I'm not afraid to say that's what it is) for positions and ideologies, not for the people who hold them, and that's all I can do. If you love and support Foghat, I can say Foghat is talentless and stupid, and nobody thinks I'm attacking you, personally.
