quality I thought you, at least, generally appreciated.

careful to direct my contempt (and I'm not afraid to say that's what
it is) for positions and ideologies, not for the people who hold them,
and that's all I can do.

stupid, and nobody thinks I'm attacking you, personally. I don't know
see how this is any different.
