It also elliminates the chance the guy could find forgiveness from God in this life. This is a subject my dear wife has changed my mind on over the years. Without regard to the higher arguments of the morality of the death penalty, letting our sick legal system make the decision is especially troublesome. How many of these cases and how many OJs does it take before we decide that our way of rendering justice just sucks.
