Another argument for keeping religion out of government and vice versa.  But 
even from a religious perspective isn't it just as likely, if not moreso, 
that putting a guy on death row would get him thinking of repentance, 
forgiveness, the afterlife, etc.?  Its along the same lines as "there are no 
atheists in foxholes".

A wrongful acquittal is an argument against the death penalty?  The fact 
that OJ wasn't facing the death penalty, (the prosecutors decided not to 
seek it), is a far better argument against the death penalty than the 
verdict because it demonstrates the injustice of its current application - 
if you have money you are far less likely to be facing it.
