But the appeals process includes the federal courts, the federal appeals courts and the SCOTUS, all of which (it seems to me) are typically willing to pause on any doubt. I also think the story was written to be a slight against Bush. Keep in mind that I support the death penalty, I'm just not so sure about supporting it in TX.
