Nothing new there and not much one can do to stop it. But they don't change in a vacuum. Don't you find it the least bit indicative of our culture that almost every word used to indicate homosexuality or homosexuals has rapidly evolved a pejorative sense which seems to be used with greater frequency than the prior sense (not to mention the slurs invented specifically for the purpose of offense)? Gays are hardly the first group to see their identifying names and characteristics turned into slurs and they won't be the last. That doesn't mean they have to like it or that it's a completely meaningless and disconnected phenomenon. And getting offended when other people get offended by your offense which was intended to offend someone else... sorry, that gets too loopy for me to follow. -- Nick On Nov 18, 2010 5:06 PM, "pcg" <[email protected]> wrote: -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
