CALL OF DUTY

Last month I was patted down when I flew from Vancouver to London. After 
going through security, I bought a bottle of duty free liquor, which I 
carried onto the airplane. A broken bottle can be a lethal weapon if 
brandished by someone who wants to kill, so "standard procedures" are 
ridiculous. Confiscate small scissors, but shop duty free? Those 
responsible for airport security are trying to lull us into mindless 
complacency.
