I just watched Caspian again this weekend.
 
Hate hate hate.  They destroyed the book.

It sounds like you're basing your opinion of the film on how well it matches up
to the book on which it is based. That rarely bodes well.

I'm viewing the Narnia films strictly on the basis of what I see on the screen,
and liked Prince Caspian more than CoN:LWW. 

But we've been through this before.  ;)

That's encouraging. There was a rather lukewarm review posted at AICN
this week, and it had me a bit disappointed. After finally getting
around to "Prince Caspian," and feeling that the filmmakers once again
got it all wrong, I've more or less given up any expectations for the
franchise, but it would lovely to be pleasantly surprised.

Like so many other people who grew up reading the books, I love VOTDT
best, and the early casting news of Will Poulter had me optimistic.
Once news of a fabricated through-line started hitting the web,
however, my hopes deflated. I know the book is episodic, but I feel
the search for the lost lords that sparks the quest, and the delivery
of Reepicheep to Aslan's country which finishes it, is enough hang the
story on.
