What are the dates? Of those finds, I am seeing a lot of 2008 or earlier...And when I follow the links that pop up, I see they
tend to be related to specific movies-and even then, you find not everyone has that problem. When I did the "blu-ray player freezes"
it pulled up 179,000 (and it starts dropping when I add company names). DVD Player Freezes pulls up 303,000 results.
Maybe people should avoid DVD.

My DVD players all froze more than my blu-ray has. More trouble reading discs as well. I just must have been the loan guy who got
bum DVD player after bum DVD player. The load time? My blu-ray players(I have a PS3 and a cheap Insignia-the Best Buy brand-player)
load in seconds.

I LIKE that I can now just upgrade my firmware...it sure beats the old days of DVD where and advancement on DVD meant you had to buy
a new DVD player. Unlike Blu-Ray, I have had numerous instances of DVDs I could not watch, because my DVD player could not read them.
If a Blu-Ray doesn't play, a firmware upgrade fixes it. I have had one freeze in three years. My first Blu-Ray player was very buggy.
But that was three years ago. My PS3 and Insignia load fast and have no problems. I don't think I am that unique... I know plenty of people
with blu-ray players...you are the first person I have run into having these kind of problems, Paul. I think you are extraordinarily
unlucky with Blu-Ray. ;)

Well, Blu-Ray is Sony's baby. It's easily upgradeable (if I had a 3D TV, I could watch 3D blu-rays-even though there were not any 3D TVs on the market when I got my PS3).

I'd guess you've just been extraordinarily lucky. A Google search for

"blu-ray player freeze" returns 582,000 results, with Pioneer, Sony,

Samsung, LG, and Panasonic brands referenced on the first results page

alone.

Although, I *have* heard that PS3 is one of the best Blu-ray players.
