I don't follow.  I already pay metered service for my natural gas,
electricity, water, gasoline, and (in a sense) groceries.  "Everyone
is doing it" for those goods and services.  I don't see why my cell
phone and internet bills should be so very different.  It's a more
honest and more easily audited business transaction than "unlimited"
service that gets mysteriously cut off or throttled when you hit the
unpublished limits.
