Re: Opera

I really can't say.  I've only been to operas put on by the University
students at Laurier and Toronto (I had friends in the music programs).
 I know I've seen "The Marriage of Figaro" and maybe one of the others
with Figaro, and I've seen a french opera and an English one.  The key
thing is having the supertitles -- being able to follow the story
helps.

I guess you could try to decide what typo of vocalist you'd like to
hear more of.  I went to a lecture by a prof before a show in Toronto
and he explained that, since they were generally works for hire, the
composers would write stronger parts for the company's strongest
vocalists & musicians.  I would think that information would be
available somewhere.
