 A good for instance is that God the Father, to them is actually Adam, who is the "Father" of this world. If we are good Mormons, we too will get our own planet one day. That and the belief that Mary was physically impregnated by God the Father, Adam, absolutely creeps me out about them.==========================I think they ditched that a while back. 
all the rural revivalism and superstition that such fantastic claims of divine revelation would be so eagerly embraced.=============== The LDS may have originated from wild tales to the gullible , but over time they change things.  Brigham Young once said that there were men on the Moon who were 8ft tall and dressed like Quakers.  I don't think Mormons today take that too seriously.
I lived in Utah for years and got to admire Mormons, although I'd never wan to be one.

I was going to answer to the effect that, if they don't match the Nicene Creed, they are always suspect in my book, but the thing is, you *do* have to delve into their beliefs to see what's real.
