I know in the States there have been a couple abduction/sexual assault incidents in Walmart parking lots. It may be a response to those and/or the lawsuits filed against WalMart as a result of those, (deep pockets dontchaknow).

It is creepy nonetheless and seems like its almost out of a futuristic movie where corporations run the world and privatize the police force, (Robocop, Running Man, Gamer, etc.)

Really? Seems odd and a waste of an officer's time if they do man them with police officers as opposed to other guards. Seems to make police into store security guards. (Over the top security guards, at that.)

Do they have a problem with car theft or something? For that, I prefer Vancouver's bait cars. :)

This feels very creepy and police-state-like. What on earth could WalMart be worried about?
