No, "killed" is the comedian's term. I don't believe many of them say "murdered", but I know they do say they "killed" when doing well. They also sometimes say they "bombed" or "died" when they flop. They are real dangerous fellows using those nasty metaphors. I know sacred isn't a metaphor but it isn't a dangerous word either even when you think it is misused. In the context of a comedian saying it, you'd imagine it wouldn't be taken literally, but I bet in this case it would.
