I've listened to Opie and Anthony and Ron& Fez for years and they have Jim
Norton on all the time and loads of other comedians and I've never heard them
refer to it as murdered.

I listen to the Bob and Tom show on my hour-long commute to work, and have for
ten years. I've listened to them interview scores of comedians. They say it both
ways - the terms are synonymous.

No, "killed" is the comedian's term.  I don't believe many of them say
"murdered", but I know they do say they "killed" when doing well.  They also
sometimes say they "bombed" or "died" when they flop.  They are real dangerous
fellows using those nasty metaphors.
