This may have been said in irony, but the basic point remains: in her 
video, Palin said that no one should ever be tarnished by the bad deeds of 
others, and one could presumably extend that logic to the people who 
wanted to build that mosque near Ground Zero.

I'm not sure what difference the number of victims makes in either case.
