I am suggesting that primary definitions overshadow all the derivative 
definitions.  Because, y'know, they generally do.

Yeah, yeah, every now and then we get a word like "bad" which is so, *so* 
old that everyone has forgotten what it originally meant, hundreds and 
hundreds of years ago.  But that ain't the case here.  The primary 
definition is still used all the time, and any use of the derivative 
definitions will inevitably hark back to that primary definition.
