I can understand the President having a flag there for his addresses to the
country. She doesn't represent the country. Right now, she doesn't even
represent her state. But I've never been a huge 'wrap yourself in the flag'
guy anyway, so (right or wrong) I'm consistent with my preferences.

I admit I found it humorous that she was pleading for the nation to come
together, and in doing so achieved the opposite. Again, I'm not a
Sarah-hater. I just now what works for me, and what doesn't, and this speech
didn't work for me.

Of course, she had a choice. She had the ability to let her Saturday FB
comments speak for themselves and otherwise stand pat. The whole thing would
have blown over almost immediately. Now, she's kept the focus largely on her
to the detriment of the actual tragedy itself. She's not bigger than the
deaths of the innocents, but she's pulling as many headlines as the event
itself.
