Uh, you don't see any distinction between the function of political
speech and rock music lyrics? (I assume you're being facetious.)

I dunno how many different ways to say it. I'd never noticed anyone
referring to government documents as sacred things. If it had been
Obama or *anyone* else, I wouldve been just as taken aback.

And, yeah, as a writer, I *do* care about the currency of language.

Still not sure where to come down on the whole thing, though.
