Oh, I dunno, invading other countries to give them your democracy, for 
example.  It may or may not be a justifiable action on some level, but the 
problem is that some people supported it because they had an almost 
religious devotion to American exceptionalism, and because they believed 
in the Christian faith espoused by the president at that time.  (Again, 
see the documentary George W. Bush: Faith in the White House.  It boggles 
the mind that such a film could have been made, apparently without irony, 
but there it is.)
