**I solved that problem:  I don’t write checks.  Ever.  I do not even have a
check book for any of my checking accounts.   If my debit card will not work,
screw it.

**I do electronic checks online occasionally for my utilities and such, but I
have a simple way to make sure they are closely monitored:  I have a separate
account for that purpose only.  It is bill payer only.
