Bullshit.  Israel would prefer to support a tinpot dictator who  
oppresses, kills and tortures his own people because he is easier to  
control with American dollars, than a messy democracy.  In short,  
Israel (and America to some extent) don't trust democracy.

Bush was right, the Arabic world needs a reformation and America and  
Israel have been preventing that for too long by propping up and  
funding dictators and strong men for decades.  They shouldn't fear  
democracy, but embrace it.  It is the only messy way out of the whole  
middle east dilemma short of world war.

They continuing to advocate stability over democracy and liberty,  
because they don't really care about the people who have to live under  
these oppressive regimes.  The trains ran on time in Germany under  
Hitler, but that is no reason to support him.
