I'm not suggesting we should be propping up anybody and I think it is 
exiting watching what is going on in Egypt.  I'd like to think it 
demonstrates that all people want and recognize freedom as an inherent, God 
intended, right.

But....democracy, strictly speaking, is certainly no guarantor of freedom 
for all.  Strictly speaking democracy is nothing better, or worse I suppose, 
than mob rule.

OK...should have known better than to invoke a Hitler analogy.

Of course that was a democracy turning into a dictatorship, not a
dictatorship turning into a democracy.  So it probably applies more to
the US than to Egypt.

I think that Democracy usually occurs organically from the people, or
a sect of people, rather than handed down to the people via dictats
from a ruler.
