Perhaps, though I'd question whether a 15-year-old qualifies as an "adult," but I'll grant you the "more mature" possibility. Also, it's a nitpick (and I'm sure you gave no thought to such an anal distinction), but it's very likely that "the filmmakers" were not involved with the image in any way, particularly on a film that big.
