All good points.

I've never seen it either, but my impression is that it's a "dark comedy."

I'm aware of all the shows on the drama list, but the only ones for
which I've actually seen an entire episode are "House," "Bones," "Burn
Notice." They all have their particular charms, but I don't watch any
of them regularly, or even pause if I'm flipping channels.

I just can't get into television these days. BSG is the last thing I
was truly impressed with, and that ended a few years ago. I simply
can't take any more cops, doctors, lawyers, or PI's. Enough already!
Reality shows hold no interest for me, either.

I *am* interested in AMC's "Walking Dead" because I'm familiar with
the source material, and have heard good things about it, but I'll
wait until the run has ended and I can watch the whole thing.

On the subject of television, for Christmas my brother-in-law bought
me the Starz mini-series, "The Pillars of the Earth," because he knew
I was a huge fan of the book. I finished the mini-series last night,
and it was pretty good. Doesn't nearly match the scope or magnificence
of the novel, of course (how could it?), but the actors all did a fine
job, and I think the producers (Tony and Ridley Scott) did a good job
of capturing the spirit of the book.

Ian McShane makes such a delicious villain, and Hayley Atwell is just
freakin' hot. I looked her up to see what else she'd been in (not
much), and found that she's going to be in the upcoming "Captain
America" movie. :)
