So are you proposing a labor theory of value then?  ;-P  Plenty of

Not that all or even necessarily most rich fall into one those categories.
But "working hard" is not a good enough justification for taking the lion's
share of the profits.

Well then, why are we taxing the rich at all? We should be so lucky as to
have such generous patrons. Perhaps we should be paying them! (Oh wait, we

Factoid?  Really?  It sounds more like a (baseless) assertion or prediction
to me, and completely in contradiction with the historical record; in
particular when their effective tax rate was higher. Citation needed.

culture, society and economy.  If all things are equal, then they should
actually be *equal*.  They are not.  Imposing a 90% rate now would be
insane.
