I am not arguing the definition necessarily The left for years has berated bush for not acting in harmony with the UN. So is this the new standard? It is enough to quote Obama's own stated opinion as of a few years ago: The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation. He apparently said this in 2007. I don't know what the context was.
