Wow!  Here (or nearby) in Vancouver, there was a riding that the Liberals 
carried by only 22 votes last time around, so *that's* one to watch, too.

You say that now.  But wait 'til they start waving the money under your 
nose...  ;)

Hmmm.  This might mean, on the one hand, that people are more likely to 
make political contributions rather than charitable ones.  But on the 
other hand, it could also arguably be construed to mean that when you make 
a charitable donation, you are also "donating" to government and 
supporting its social programs etc. (i.e. the programs that compete with 
private charities for money etc.) whereas when you donate to a political 
party you aren't donating all that much to your country.  Hmmm.
