Uh...yes. Many times people mistake, say, inspirational personalities or "forceful" personalities for having leadership and authority...but it's an image-the real quality isn't there.
I don't remember it being that great growing up (it wasn't hideous, but not utopia either).

I am not sure Reagan qualifies any more than our current president. In fact, I see many similarities between the two.
