Re "mainstream" Canadian Muslim groups being hot for David Duke:

I wrote the other day about Bernie Farber, head honcho of the Censorious Jewish Congress, missing the point as usual, and filing his silly little "hate" complaint with York Region police against a group he'd never heard of a week ago. But the Closet Conservative puts it much better, and I urge you to read every word:

   This illustrates the strange bedfellows that are made by Canada's insidious laws against "hate" and the make-work project of "hate crimes". I'm still waiting for the "love crimes"-where has all the love gone?

   The pursuit of hate crime charges is just another tactic of the pussified Jewish left: scramble the lawyers!

   These people are clueless. Just like Irwin Cotler. He wants to memo Iran into compliance. Good luck with that.

   What's the big (f&cking) deal about posting a David Duke video?

That's a good question: Why should it be a criminal act to post a David Duke video?

Here's another: Why does it take linking to a hasbeen "white supremacist" to make Canada's Official Jews get their knickers in a twist about a Muslim lobby group? Why, you'd almost get the impression that even such desultory attention as Bernie Farber can rouse himself to pay to Islamic radicals derives entirely from his cobwebbed obsession with long dead enemies. As the Closet Con says:

   Has anyone seen the video of Daniel Pearl? When's the last time a white supremacist douchebag in America slit a Jew's throat?

Here's a third question: Suppose Bernie Farber gets his way and these crazy Muslims are prevented from posting David Duke's greatest hits. Does that make it easier or more difficult for them to insinuate themselves in photo-ops with Jack Layton, Liberal MPs, Ontario police chiefs and the other A-list fatheads of the multiculti establishment?

That's not so hard to answer, is it? The message of Bernie Farber's lawsuit is: Keep the David Duke stuff under your hat, and it won't cause any problems when we're sitting next to each other at the Greater Toronto multifaith falafel fest.

Fourth question: Is policing public discourse likely to lead to more or less honest discussion of what's really at issue here? That through its boundlessly stupid immigration policies, the Dominion of Canada confers citizenship on people who are not merely of no benefit to the country but are actively at war with western liberty and pluralism.

I'd rather know what guys like CASMO think. There's too much taqqiya in Islam as it is. If the Censorious Jewish Congress gets its way, there'll be even more dissembling, even more pro forma nods to "diversity", even more opportunist exploitation of Canada's self-congratulatory "tolerance" - and even fewer glimpses of what CASMO & Co really believe.

Just for once it would be nice if Canada's Head Jew grasped the big picture. Alan Dershowitz was in Norway recently and was told by both the University of Oslo and the University of Trondheim that he could not give a speech on campus in defense of Israel. This is no time for Jews to be on the side of people whose response to views they don't like is: "You can't say that."
