Kurt Loder?

Primarily for Peter, but you other film aficionados can jump in.

What do you think of Loder as a reviewer, (assuming its not bad form to 
critique another reviewer)?

I just read his Water for Elephants review on Big Hollywood/Reason

I have conflicted memories of him for his work on MTV, (back when it played 
music videos).  He was erudite bordering on arrogant at times but I've come 
around to like him and appreciate the intellectual and reasoned approach to 
art and pop culture.  The fact that he is associated with Reason, and a 
libertarian, helps a lot too.
