I don't know of any entire groups or denominations that espouse 
annihilationism, but I do know some individual Christians who espouse it, 
and if I asked them, they could probably point to ancient Christians who 
espoused it too.

Well, to save them from the hells that already exist here on earth would 
be another reason, too.
