And some would be wrong. Two different things involved. Attorney client relationship/privilege vs free speech. Sure I have free speech as an attorney but I can't violate and a firm is legally entitled to control your speech regarding same in exchange for your employment. And if I violate client confidences or engage in activities that are a conflict of interest the bar licensing authority may very well have something to say about it.
