Dude. Would you give an equal pass to Worldnet and Newsmax when they post a piece slamming liberals? No, you note the bias. Heck I doubt you would never give Fox a similar pass either. Why should gays be given the high road and not have anyone accuse them of bias?

As for the judge in the case, maybe he should have proactively recused himself even if there was no conflict, but the fact he was not openly gay at the time and had no known advicay activities gave him legitimacy. Appearance of conflict is a legitimate issue though, and now that he has come out, his decision will be scrutinized for bias, and considering how harsh he was, there may be basis for overturning it.

Not my fight so I don’t care.

But I can and will note bias where I do see it. That article was a hit piece on King and Spalding that ignored any aspects of ethics.

Yes, because gay people are incapable of fair reporting-unlike groups like the American Family Association or NOM.

It's kind of like how these "pro-family" groups think that Vaughn Walker should not have been the judge for the prop 8 trial because he is gay and involved in a relationship with a man currently. I bet they wouldn't question the verdict if a Christian married heterosexual Judge had uphelp prop 8. They wouldn't feel he should have recused (?) himself. The impression I get from the opponents of gay marriage is that only heterosexuals are capable of avoiding bias, apparently.
