It is not demeaning to prove who you are, nor to assure people you meet the requirements of the constitution. In fact, as a former Constitutional Professor, he should have been proud to do so. And yes another candidate did have to run a similar gamut, John McCain, who dealt with his case in 2000 as I recall. He dealt with it proactively.
