Okay, again, this was written after the short-form certificate had
been "verified by independent journalists and vouched for by state
authorities," as stated in the article. That is, *after* the question
had been raised and addressed. While I personally wouldn't jump to
racism as the cause of continuing clamor, one can't really blame
editorialists for speculating *anything* at that point.

For whatever reason, this link keeps crashing my browser, so I'll have
to take your word for it.

For my part, I've not seen anyone accuse anyone of being a racist just
for asking the question of whether Obama was born in the U.S.  I
*have* seen (and you have provided numerous links) of people accusing
perpetrators of the *ongoing controversy* racists.

Whether or not that accusation has any merit, I honestly don't know,
though it's certainly beyond the pale. Personally, I'm not inclined to
explore the question at all, because they're loonies, which itself is
enough to make them unworthy of regard.
