Not really, it is part of why the birthers felt compelled to push harder.
When you ask a question and are attacked with ad hominem attacks you do
start to wonder if there is fire where there is smoke.

That was part of Trump's assertion, that the administration and Obama
supporters would spend less time attacking the question if there was
legitimate proof to answer it.  When you act like you are stonewalling shame
on you for being offended at being accused of hiding something.

It was a simple and legitimate question and could have been handled easily.
That it wasn’t is the real tragedy.

I didn't ignore the point, I just addressed it in a different message.
To reiterate, I said I'm not really interested in the question of whether
"birthers" are racist or not, because it's irrelevant.
