True I suppose. Maybe what I am getting at is that there are (at least) two
standards in play. Are you a racist and are you perceived as racist.

Interesting.
I was thinking that the ultimate test for racism is whether you are ok with
your child marrying someone from another race. That takes it out of the
realm of persona taste/attractions.

Side note. If I only date a single race, am I racist? If I personally do
not find women of one race attractive and only date other races, is that
racist?

I think part of the problem is they have diluted the meaning out of racism.

I'm going to ask a charged question, hoping that the room will take the
question seriously before writing it off.

Clearly, this statement /sounds/ racist, but must it be? Is this actually
/automatically/ a racist statement? Correlation does not imply causation.
Can't a person have a preference without it being full blown race-hatred?
(I'm thinking here of black superheroes perhaps being of lesser objective
quality than other superheroes, not because of race, but because of the
quality of the writers. I can't think of any major black superheroes, but
admit my knowledge of the genre is spotty at best.)
