Last year, I told a friend of mine that I often *feel* like I'm making a racist statement when I say (as I sometimes do), "I found her very attractive for a black woman." It *sounds* demeaning, and I always want to catch the words as they come out of my mouth, but on the other hand, I'm not sure I have to apologize either. The fact is, I'm not typically attracted to black women, so when I *am* attracted to one, it's anomalous *because* she's black. Along the same lines, I'm not typically attracted to thin women, and I sometimes say, "she was pretty attractive for a skinny chick." I don't think that makes me weightist, I'm just not attracted to that sort of person, right? -- -pcg [email protected] -- dadl-ot mailing list http://mail.thehood.us/mailman/listinfo/dadl-ot_thehood.us http://news.gmane.org/gmane.music.dadl.ot
