Hmmm... you cannot pin hip hop culture on an attack on transgenders. Many attacks on gays and trangenders have come from white communities. There was an incident where two marine thought a gay guy had flirted with them. So they walked up and punched him in the back of the head so hard he was hospitalized.
I would say tha it is the attitude that gays/lesbians/trans people are perverts/freaks/undesireables that/abnormal feeds the kind of violent attacks like we saw in the McDonald's Incident.
Not that Hip Hop doesn't have issues with gays...it DOES. But so does Sports culturr, religious culture and many others.
