I don't think there will be much difference.

Some of his followers may get discouraged, some may want to fight due to his
"martyrdom".

Will this cause the US to withdraw from Afganistan? Doubt it.

Although please help curb my ignorance. Why after 10 years are we still
there?(I say we as NZ troops are there) And I'm not asking for the "It's for
oil" arguments or other conjecture but the *official* reasons to justify it.
