FWIW, I wouldn't say it's *not* a time for these things, but I *would* say 
that celebration needs to tempered by a recognition of our common 
mortality.  Death is too awful a thing to be celebrated full-stop.

I haven't seen the tweet yet, BTW, but I did get a text message when he 
posted that verse as a status update to his "fan page".

It's interesting to see how both the Bible and Christian tradition point 
in both directions on this sort of thing.  In the Orthodox liturgy, there 
are bits about how we should embrace those who hate us, etc., but at the 
same time there are songs celebrating the gruesome death of Arius, etc.
