Bush and Cheney (and Clinton) have all released statements. And I am pretty sure Bush would have gave a similar speech. In fact, I didn't realize that the news was reading a statement issued by Bush at first-it really mirrored the President's announcement.
I get the ambivalence over celebration of his death... at the same time, I do not really begrudge the relief that his saga is at an end. I mean, hey, I would be perfectly happy is that had captured him alive. He served a valuable symbol running around and dodging us for so many years. In that sense, it is a good thing, though it doesn't mean terrorism is over.
