Duh. But the major discussions of political civility were predated by this event. It was not a huge topic in 2003.

Um..."sleazy" is in the eye of the beholder? I've said it's silly and juvenile. And yeah, it's not civil. Name calling never is. But name calling is something we are all guilty of on this list, let alone the world of politics. Name calling is not, however, "sleazy" in the eyes of most.
